King of Central Europe?

Tomas Bartko came back after an injury and won the third stage of the 2017 European Footgolf Tour last weekend. His previous victories was celebrated in the Czech Republic and Slovakia last year. Iis he unstoppable in the heart of the continent?

Bartko in AustriaWith the -22 score, the Slovakian Tomas Bartko was the best of the last week’s Austrian Open. He performs well near his home soil, now, he has three gold medals from that region (and tied in the first place in Hungary, but finished third after the playoff in 2016). He started well the Tour, finishing 7th in Ireland, and now, he is in the second place behind Björn Bulk in the overall ranking thanks to his victory in Austria.

“I feel fine after the long injury, but I have to train hard in the next months to be better and better. This victory means a lot to me, because it proved, I am among the best players. I want achieve more, and this gold helps me to have more great results during this year’s Tour.” said Bartko.

He thinks, it was a well-organized competition.

“The Austrian Open is now in my top 3 tournaments in the EFT-history, one of the best organized stages.”

He wants higher ranking than he finished the last year.

“I was 8th in 2016, now, I want to reach the podium for the end of the season. I am training hard to reach my dreams. I will attend the Slovenian, Italian, Czech and Hungarian Opens in 2017.”
